Our first training seminar this year will be in Whangarei in early April 2009.

This weekend seminar will cover:

• Training on how to check for Coral Bleaching with CoralWatch
  Training on how to safely teach snorkelling to kids in the Pacific
  Training on how to collect very simple but useful data for EarthDive
  A talk on the benefits of Marine Reserves by Rachel Agnew of Sea our Future
  A visit to a Marine Reserve to observe the effects of protecting the ecosystem
  An outline of the ReefCheck system of monitoring human impacts on reef ecosystems

• We are arranging a couple of other talks of interest to OceansWatch members that will be announced nearer the time

The cost of this seminar will be whatever it costs us divided by the number of people who attend.
