OceansWatch will be arriving in PNG in early July 2009.
PNG is a fascinating country where there are countless opportunities for OceansWatch to be really effective. The people are the friendliest but also the poorest in the Pacific so it's a land of great contrasts. Due to the poverty there it can be dangerous but we avoid the towns and get very well cared for in the communities that we visit.
Our draft itinerary is:
Madang, Karkar, Manus, Kaviang, Nonovaul, Mussau, Kimbe, Garove and then back via Alotau.
